Kitchen

Executive Chef

Provides the highest quality food within the established budget by supervising, coordinating, and directing the operation of the hotel’s kitchen in accordance with hotel procedures and standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Maximizes guest satisfaction with food by providing the highest quality of product consistent with cost constraints by supervising the operation of the kitchen.
  • Ensures proper staffing and adequate supplies for all stations.
  • Oversees all food-related operational areas.
  • Maintains consistency by conducting inspections of seasonings, portions, and appearance of food served in the operation; performs follow-up as necessary.
  • Ensures proper safety, hygiene and sanitation practices are followed.
  • Monitors industry trends and recommends appropriate action to be taken to maintain competitive status and profitability
  • Coordinates all training activities for the kitchen.
  • Assists other department managers as requested in areas such as plate presentation and special function menu planning.

Qualifications:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills and abilities.

Education:       High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in food preparation, management, nutrition or related field preferred.

Experience:     Minimum of four years’ experience in high volume food production required.

Lake Café

Host/Cashier 
Part-time day positions available for a friendly outgoing individual who enjoys working with the public needed to greet and seat guests in the Lake Café. Excellent customer service skills are a must! Candidate needs to be self-motivated, reliable and able to multitask. Must be 18 years or older.

Lake Café Busser

Part-time busser position available for an individual able to work 15 – 20 hours. Must be able to work weekends. Candidate must be dependable and hardworking and may start immediately. Must be 18 years old or older.

Lake Café Server
Part-time day and evening positions available for outgoing and energetic individuals needed to service guests by taking food and drink orders, complete opening and closing cleaning procedures and deliver food to tables accurately and efficiently. Candidate must be flexible in scheduling and be able to handle a fast environment with long hours. Excellent customer service and communications skills are a must. Must be 18 or older and have previous serving

Banquets

Banquet Server
Part-time positions available for outgoing and energetic individuals needed to provide food and beverage service to banquet customers in an efficient and courteous manner. Candidate must be flexible in scheduling and be able to handle a fast environment with long hours. Excellent customer service and communications skills are a must. Must be 18 or older and have previous serving experience.

Convention

Convention Set Up
Candidates needed for part-time hours to insure proper cleaning, set-up, and operation of meeting rooms and conference facilities. Individual must be detail oriented and able to perform indoor and outdoor work in addition to lifting at least 40 pounds.  Must be able to work evenings/days and weekends.

Waterpark

Waterpark Lifeguard
Part-time am shift (8:30 am – 3:30 pm) and pm shift (3:15 pm – 10:00 pm) lifeguards needed to work weekdays and weekends. CPR/First Aid Certification course available upon employment. Must be 16 or older.

Waterpark Snack Bar/Admissions Attendant
Part-time am and pm shifts available for individuals to work directly with guests to provide snacks, prepare space for group parties, answer guest and staff questions and assist staff with park activities and cleaning tasks. Position involves minor food prep and knowledge of safety and health procedures. An outgoing and friendly personality is a plus. Must be 18 or older and weekends are required.

Housekeeping

Room Attendant
Full-time and part-time weekday and weekend positions available to candidates willing to satisfactorily and efficiently clean guestrooms. Main duties include, but are not limited to: making guest beds, dusting, vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms. Experience preferred, but not required.

Spa

Cosmetologist
Part-time day and evening hours available for a Cosmetologist to perform facials, waxing, pedicures and manicures. Open to learning how to perform body treatments such as herbal wraps, body mud masks and salt glows. Customer service skills and positive attitude are a must. Hours are flexible.

Massage Therapist
Part-time permanent and seasonal, day and evening hours available.  Individual needed to perform various types of massages including sports, hot stone and reflexology.  Candidate will also be expected to perform body treatments ranging from ear candling to a variety of mud masks and exfoliations.  Training is available for all services except relaxation and required therapeutic massage types.  Flexibility and interest in learning new services are a must.  Responsibilities also include miscellaneous cleaning.  Scheduling is flexible although every other Saturday is required.  Good customer service skills a must.

Spa Manager
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Darling Reflections Spa. Supervises, directs, assists, facilitates, coordinates and ensures the completion of services that are offered by the spa. Must be able to perform Cosmetologist procedures such as facials, waxing, pedicures and manicures. Customer service skills and positive attitude are a must. Hours are flexible. Must have a Cosmetology manager license.

Building Maintenance 

 Maintenance Team

Full time and/or part shifts available.   Responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and repairs to all areas of the hotel, including its exterior, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical systems, floors, walls and furniture.  Knowledge of using a variety of equipment as well as sound understanding of troubleshooting maintenance equipment.along with a knowledge of health and safety regulations is a plus.  Skills required for the job further include mechanical aptitude, organisation, and attention to detail.
